Saint-Lazare
1941 – 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Champoux on October 27, 2024, at the age of 82. Guy was born on December 15, 1942, in Montreal. Guy had battled stomach cancer in 2020 and had it removed. He lost a lot of weight and was small for someone who loved food all this life.
Guy met the love of his life Dianne Banks at a young age, and they married in the spring of 1966. They shared over 60 years together. Guy was known for his knowledge of cars and antiques. His skills to repair and fix up old rare items were with great determination, and passion. From pinball machines to oil lamps, he knew it all. Many stories of his rare finds and deals have been recounted if you spent more than five minutes with him.
Guy worked as a salesman for UAP (now NAPA) and was on the road for over 30 years. He was a top salesman in his field. After retiring, he continued his love of antiques and on weekends spent a lot of time hunting deals and visited many flea markets and garage sales. The man was always in search of the deal.
Survived by and greatly missed by his wife Dianne Banks, son Mark Champoux, grandsons Connor Champoux and Brendan Champoux as well as other family and friends.
Kindly reframe from sending flowers, if you feel the need to donate, you can do so to your favorite charity.
There will be no visitation or funeral services.
